Membership

Outstanding privileges and amenities are just as important as the intangible benefits that come with private club membership – a sense of community, camaraderie, and belonging.  An Amarillo Country Club membership offers access to one of Amarillo's best golf and recreational facilities, and a year-long schedule of events designed to engage and delight every member of the family.

Stockholding members:

Are persons who are entitled to full use of all club facilities, including; golf, . There shall be no more than six hundred sixty-five (665) stockholding members. Only a Stockholding member or his or her spouse is entitled to vote and hold office. If both stockholder and spouse are present at a duly called meeting, only one may vote.

Corporate members:

Available to corporations, general partnerships, limited liability companies and sole proprietorships.  There shall be one primary member who shall maintain a Stockholding membership.  The primary member may designate up to a maximum of eight (8) designees who are either owners, officers, or employees of the corporation, general partnerships, limited liability company or sole proprietorship.  Memberships so designated are available in all membership classifications. Replacing an existing designated member is allowed, one a year, with the payment of a transfer fee equal to twenty (20%) of the initiation fee of the newly designated members.

The initiation fee for the primary member shall be set at 150% of a Stockholding member.  Each additional designated member shall pay an initiation fee equal to 25% of the corresponding initiation fee for the membership classification desired.

Dues and assessments for each member of the Corporate membership shall be the same as those charged in the applicable membership classification for which each individual would otherwise qualify.

Any designee of the Corporate membership who leaves their position with the firm or business shall, upon payment of a transfer fee of 20% of the initiation fee associated with the membership classification being applied for, be exempt from the payment of an initiation fee when applying for a personal membership if such application is made within ninety (90) days of leaving the position held at their firm or business. There shall be no more than thirty (30) Corporate memberships.

Weekday Only Golf members:

Are persons who are entitled to full access to all the club’s facilities and amenities – on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, before 11:00 a.m-Limit golf only. Weekday members are not entitled to vote at membership meetings.  The monthly dues and the amount of any assessment applicable to and payable by a Weekday member shall be sixty percent (60%) of current Stockholding member dues and any assessments.  There shall be no more than one hundred (100) Weekday memberships.

Sporting members:

Are persons who are entitled to full access to all the club’s facilities and amenities with the exception of the golf course and practice facilities.  There shall be no more than two hundred (200) Sporting members.   A Sporting member will have limited access to the golf course and practice facilities.  Sporting members may play at the discretion of the Board of Directors subject to the payment of the fee determined by the Board of Directors for each use.  Sporting members are not entitled to vote at Stockholding members meetings.  The monthly dues and the amount of any assessment applicable to and payable by a Sporting member shall be seventy percent of current Stockholding member dues and any assessments.

Pool/Dining/&Fitness members:

Are persons who are entitled to access only the clubhouse, pool, and fitness center. Dining /Pool/Fitness members are not entitled to vote in membership meetings.  The monthly dues and the amount of any assessment applicable to and payable by a Dining/Fitness/Pool member shall be fifty percent (50%) of current Stockholding Member dues and any assessments.  There shall be no more than fifty (50) Dining/Fitness/Pool memberships.

Dining members:

Are persons who are entitled to access only the clubhouse.  There shall be no more than three hundred (300) dining members.   Dining members are not entitled to vote at Stockholding members meetings.  The monthly dues and the amount of any assessment applicable to and payable by a Dining member shall be thirty percent (30%) of current Stockholding member dues and any assessments.

Non-Resident members:

Are persons who have no residence within a 30 mile radius of Amarillo and whose permanent place of business or office or establishment from which their business is conducted is not within a 30 mile radius of Amarillo and whose period of residence and that of their family in Potter or Randall County, Texas, will not exceed two (2) months of any year.

Junior members:

There shall be no more than two hundred (200) Junior members of the club in the aggregate at any one time. Persons up to forty  years of age, who are not or have not previously been members of the club, may become Junior  members upon election to membership by the Board of Directors and payment to the club of the applicable Initiation Fee in the amount and in manner established by the Board of Directors pursuant to Article V. Subject to the aggregate limitation of Junior  memberships specified above, a Junior  membership may only be granted by the Board of Directors to the extent that Treasury shares of the club are available for purchase.

Upon the granting of a Junior membership, a Treasury share of the club will be reserved by the Board of Directors and held by the club (a “Reversed Share”), until such Junior  member obtains the age of forty.  Upon reaching age forty a Junior member who is in good standing shall automatically convert to Stockholding Membership.  The club shall issue the converting Junior Member a share of Treasury Stock.

The monthly dues and the amount of any assessment applicable to and payable by a Junior member shall be seventy percent of current Stockholding member dues and any assessments. When a Junior member turns 40 full monthly dues and assessments become applicable. There shall be no more than two hundred (200) Junior memberships.
